'Coding' your own life
Hello fellow human, I’m Abhishek. No, this is not one of the promotional emails in your inbox. But every Sunday, this will hit your inbox where I will share my poetry, stories and personal things as if you are my best friend…JK! It’s good to have you here! :D
So, let's begin!!

Hey again, Welcome to my little place!
I am very excited to be (finally) sharing this with you! I am typing this today overlooking beautiful mountains, feeling grateful for what I have in life.
You know until putting this newsletter together this morning, I had never heard of the programming language called Perl. Shame on me. Interestingly, it has the motto : ‘Tim Toady'
It’s an anagram for : There’s more than one way to do it. (I know the first letters don’t add up here and that’s not the point either). The point here isn’t about programming or Perl or even toads named Tim. The point to make is that we’re all quite different in our various and amazing ways. Yet, we all want that one singular answer to problems, which if we cut deeper into them, aren’t completely similar.
For example I suck at meditating. Apparently, it’s a great way to recharge and every self actualised human (best kind, right?) says that meditation fixes everything that is wrong in your life, but it just won’t work for me. I fail to sit and not judge the thoughts that surface. After today, I thought I would just ‘Tim Toady’ the whole thing. The way I recharge won’t work for everyone, but well, it’s okay if it does for me. It involves throwing myself into something new and unrelated from work and normal life, where I am forced to be “present and mindful”. A game of chess or sometimes lifting weights too.
A side against states things should have only one way to work, but that’s how some other languages say ‘python’ can work, not life right? We are working/aspiring humans with imbalanced lives. No one has a streamlined achievement story or advice. There’s more than one way to live it and that is how it is supposed to be. This is a reminder to probably stop feeling bad when you can’t make it fit. ‘Tim Toady’ (I’m already catching up on this, ha) the whole thing and remember, there’s ALWAYS more than one way to do things. You are different in your own amazing way.
So, yes, this really is what this newsletter series is going to be about - things that look like they're straight out of some corny self-help book, but also things that I will talk to you about, if we ever happen to meet over a cup of coffee or share a pizza.

Thought for the day:
Abhi pehla kadam rakkha hai, aage raastein aur bhi hai
Manzil se kehdoh sath humare ek jahaan aur bhi hai.
Sitaaron se hai yaarana mera
Par haasil karne ko abhi aasamaan aur bhi hai.
Dhool chaati hai mere sapno ne kai dafa
Meri himmat ko kai bar abhi haarna aur bhi hai.
Kaagaz par kavitaaon ke parr banata hoon
Mere likhe khayalon ko abhi udna aur bhi hai.
Mera sab kuch shuru aur khatam hota hai khayal ke parivaar se
Tum rakkho jo bhi bachi kuchi duniya aur bhi hai.

So, here, I have concluded my performance for the day for you - and as I pick my belongings, you may write to me, words of appreciation or constructive feedback, or simply words that wish to leave you but find no takers!
Thank you so much for being here. Lamba safar hai, saath chalenge, what do you say?
Until next Sunday,
Abhishek
